Scholarships of various categories are awarded by the State and Central Governments on the basis of income of parents as well as the merit of applicants. Details can be had from the office.
Notice: Any scholarships or fee remission may be cancelled by the College Council at any time for unsatisfactory conduct for the reason that the student does not maintain that standard of work which is expected.

A register showing the awards in each year and an acquittance roll as prescribed for Government Scholarships shall be maintained by the Principal and shall be made available for scrutiny by

Sri E.A.V. Krishnamoorthy Free Bus Fee Endowment was instituted by Sri. E.A. V. Krishnamoorthy (Former Treasurer of our College) on 28.7.95. for poor and needy students of the college.

Endowment Lectures
Scholarship for thesis of University on Kambaramayana in English was instituted by M/s. Sitalakshmi Charities on 04.05.1976.
Scholarship will be awarded to the best student of the college for his higher education studies on the basis of thesis submitted by him on the above subjects
The scholarship awarded will be available to the prize winner till he/she complete Degree Course or Post Graduate
studies or any other research qualifying for a Doctorate Degree. Lectures on Kambaramayana by eminent scholars will be
arranged.
Smt. Aluthulakshmi Ammal Memorial Endowment
The above Endowment instituted by Thiru B.K.M. Ananthapadmanabaiyer on 11.03.1977 and 07.05.1987 for award of prizes to the students who stand first, second and third on the inter collegiate competitions on Tamil Literature and also for the literary talk by a scholar.
Scholarships
Dr. Gandhi Bai Educational Fund was institued on 08.01.1974 by Selvi Dr. E. Gandhi Bai.
This is instituted to sanction scholarships to the poor and deserving boys and girls of the Sourashtra community to meet payment of fees, cost of books, hostel charges, etc., from Degree upto any Professional or other course at the discretion of the Managing Committee.
Thiru N.M.R.Subburaman, Scholarship Endowment was instituted by M/s. Sitalakshmi Trust on 31.12.1975.
The Scholarship will be awarded from the above endowment to a poor and deserving sourashtra community student from U.G. to P.G. Level to make payment of fees, cost of books and the like.
Ankayarkanni Scholarship Fund was institued by Dr.T.L.Subramanian, U.S.A. on 12.08.1994.
This Scholarship will be awarded to 2 or 3 poor deserving students from U.G. to P.G. level to make payment of fees, cost of books and the like.
Er. T.K.Mahendra Babu Scholarship Endowment Fund was instituted by Er. T.K.Mahendra Babu, Singapore on 20.12.1994.

The "SOUCOM 2000" Scholarship en_dowment fund was instituted by the students of Department ofCommerce on 17-03-2001.
This Scholarship will be awarded to the best B.Com. student selected by the Department of Commerce on merit-cum-means basis to pay college tuition fees.
Sri Dhruvas S. Vijalakshmi Ammal Scholarship Endownment was instituted by Prof. D.S. Rajendran, Librarian, Sourashtra College.
This Scholarship will be awarded to poor and deserving Sourashtra Community students to make payment of fees, cost of books and the like.
Financial Assistances
Rajaram Endowment for Examination fee instituted by Thiru. M.V.Rajaram, B.A., B.L., Advocate on 07.07.1972; 05.02.1977 and 26.11.1987.
Financial assistance to meet University Examination fee will be provided to deserving poor students studying in any Degree Course of the College from the above endowment.

Social Service League & W.U.S To Develop the Personality:
The Social Service League and World University Service League of the College devote their attention to the students and community.
Students' Aid Fund:
Each student is asked to pay Rs. 3/- every academic year the time of admission. The contribution from the students towards the fund is purely voluntary
The amount paid by the students will not be refunded under any circumstances.
The amount collected from the students and government grants shall be deposited in a seperate bank account and shall be operated by the principal.
The objective of this fund is to render financial assistance to poor and the deserving to meet their tuition fees or examination fees or to purchase books or other expenses.
Limited assistance may be given to students to meet their hostel mess, clothing or medical expenses, if their needs are considered genuine, interest free loans may also be granted to deserving
students to the Students Aid Funds subject to the maximum of 50%. No Scholarship or stipend will be given from this fund.
The financial assistance shall be cancelled or forfeited at the discretion of the principal for misconduct, irregularity in attendance or failure to make satisfactory progress.
The funds shall not be utilized for giving prizes, rewards etc., to students.
The unspent balance, if any, may be carried forward to the next year and utilized for the purpose mentioned above.
The quantum of assistance to each student shall be determined by the Students Aid Fund Committee.
The said committee shall consists of a chairman and two others members.
The Principal shall be an Ex-officio chairman of the committee. A teaching faculty and a student member shall be nominated by the principal.
The Principal is empowered to frame, alter, supplement rules and conditions as and when necessary subject to the instruction received from the University Grant commission.
Contribution to the Students Aid Fund by the Management Council is not permissible. The members of the Managing committee of the college, may however, can contribute personally to the fund, if they so desired.
The accounts of Students Aid Fund shall be audited by a qualified chartered accountant and fees or related expenditure shall not be met from the Students Aid Fund
