Department of Physical Education

History of the Department Since 1967, this department has successfully been functioning. The department is encouraging the students to participate in various sports and games. Since 1995-96 the department has been producing tremendous results in the sports and games.

Objectives

The objective of the Physical Education department is to all-round development of the students. This department paves the way to have a good health to the students.
Our college plays a very important role in the Madurai Kamaraj University as for as Sports and Games are concerned. Our Management extends all the possible help to the sports persons. At the time of admission, 3% and 5% of seats are allotted for UG and PG on sports quota. The following tables show the amount granted by the Management to buy dress materials, canvas and meeting sports day expenses and traveling allowances given to the students during the last five years along with their achievements of six years.
